February 7, 2010 is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD), a national HIV testing and treatment community mobilization initiative designed to encourage Blacks across the United States and to get educated, get tested, get involved, and get treated around HIV/AIDS, as it continues to devastate Black communities.

AIDS Partnership Michigan will provide free HIV/AIDS rapid testing on Sunday, February 21 at 1:30 – 4:00 pm at the Charles H. Wright Museum in Detroit’s Cultural District.

AIDS Partnership Michigan along with Black Pride Society and Kick – The Agency for African-Americans joins the effort by hosting the concert and free HIV/AIDS rapid testing event GOSPEL & AIDS: Black Life is Worth Saving on Sunday, February 21 at the Charles H. Wright Museum starring local gospel talent.

Scheduled to perform are Virgil Chillers, Lakeysha Charee and The University of Michigan Gospel Chorus.

The event begins at 3:00 pm and is free to the public. Space is limited so RSVP is a must at gospelandaids@gmail.com.
